Every once in awhile a unique photography job falls out of the sky into my lap.
This is a travel story that I shot for WestJet Magazine featuring some of my favorite places- Venice, Santa Monica and the west side of Los Angeles. The feature focused on what to see, do and eat, with a skateboarding theme running through the whole piece.
The history of Dogtown and street skating in Los Angeles and skateboardings influence on Southern California culture and the rest of the world is undeniable.
I love skateboarding. I lived in Venice and Santa Monica for 10 years and I love travel imagery. Perfect combo!!! I really enjoyed this project and the writer Mackenzie Eisenhour did a great job with the words and Steve Collins' direction and creative was on point.
